Over the last year, I ran OEM VW wipers on my VW Atlas and TRICO ICE wipers on my VW Jetta. Each set of wipers were run year-round and each car accumulated around 14k miles in that time period.
How did they last?
The VW OEM wipers leave many water streaking trails.
The TRICO ICE wipers only leave 1 very minimal water streaking trail. Even though these are winter wipers, I ran these year-round without any issue.
Final Thoughts
I will continue to run TRICO ICE wipers, and if they start to squeak in the summer (They were fine last summer), then I will swap them out when it gets warm. Otherwise, don’t waste your money on OEM wipers. I get mine from rockauto.com for just $5-$7 a blade.
