LEATHER OEM STEERING WHEEL FROM A PRIUS FIVE
The original Prius THREE steering wheel is made from some type of hard rubber/plastic material that tends to deteriorate with prolonged use at around 150K miles. I’ve seen it happen on a few cars in that mileage range.
That’s why I couldn’t resist when I saw one of these leather wheels go for sale on the forum.
Unlike the Prius Three, the Prius Five came with a leather interior and a leather-wrapped steering wheel that also has a very luxurious cushioned feeling to it when you grab on.
This install should apply to all Generation 3 Prius cars from 2010-2015 and whether you are replacing a damaged wheel or upgrading like I did, this is an easy way to help you safely remove and install your replacement steering wheel.
