How much do Mott & Bow’s Eco Focused Denim Jeans weigh?

Let’s face it, weight only matters when we consider packing restrictions for suitcases, if you are considering wearing these in warm or cold weather or if you just happen to like lightweight clothes. For this test, I used the same size jean in all three eco focused types of denim (35W x 32L*).

*As of this posting, there is only a size 32L available and Mott and Bow will be releasing a size 34L in the future.

1. Hemp / Cotton Blend Denim

the 11.5 oz Fabric of the Hemp Blend Denim weighs 1LB, 5.1 oz

2. Organic Cotton Denim

The 14.06 OZ Fabric is the thickest and makes this pair the heaviest at 1lb 9.3 oz.

3. Recycled Polyester Denim

This 11.2 OZ fabric is the lightest and equates to the about 1LB and 4.4 OZ.

My Initial Thoughts of the new Eco Friendly Denim from Mott & Bow?

1. Hemp / Cotton Blend Denim

Super soft, feels like your old favorite pair of jeans and combined with being lightweight, this can easily find itself in my rotation of go-to jeans.

2. Organic Cotton Denim

These jeans feel fancier than than the typical ultra-stretchy jean that we are used to from Mott & Bow. They don’t give off a Jeggings vibe and you would never know that who ever is wearing them is both extremely comfortable and at any moment could pull off a split/high kick without tearing the seam.

3. Recycled Polyester Denim

These feel literally no different from the traditional ultra stretchy Mott & Bow mostly cotton denim jeans that we are used to.
